Africa’s richest man and CEO of Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, has
been named by Forbes as one of the 75 World’s Most Powerful People of
2015. The 54-year-old billionaire sits at the 71 position on the list.

“Aliko Dangote is Africa’s richest man by far, and he’s
not slowing down. This year alone, his Dangote Cement, Africa’s largest
cement producer, launched new cement plants in Cameroon, Ethiopia,
Zambia and Tanzania. In total, Dangote Cement now produces more than 30
million metric tonnes each year, with a plan to double capacity by 2018.
Dangote owns more than 90% of publicly-traded Dangote Cement through a
holding company. Other companies in the Dangote Group – which is active
in 15 African countries – include publicly-traded salt, sugar and flour
manufacturing companies.”
